Hey, Philly kids of all ages, remember back in the day when the old Tastykake truck would come rolling down the streets to drop off the daily order of fresh baked pies and cakes to the corner grocers, candy stores, luncheonettes, Food Fair, Penn Fruit and the Ack-a-me? Everybody knew the stuff was baked local on Hunting Park Avenue, so that meant everything was fresh. We can still smell the faint aroma of the Juniors, Krimpets, Peanut Butter Tandykakes, chocolate frosted Kupkakes and those awesome blueberry pies! Those were the days!
