Overbrook Park was the perfect place to grow up in the 50s, 60s and 70s. It had everything. A school, a shul, a playground, streets lined with rows and rows of new rowhomes, nice neighbors and a main street of stores that served as the center of the community. There were bakeries, delicatessens, drug stores, all kinds of shops, beauty salons, movies, bowling, and both fine and casual dining spots, including Leibowitz Steakhouse and the beloved Barson's. Those were the days!
