Description

This hard bop horn legend was born in Wilmington, Delaware and cut his jazz chops playing in Philly. He packed a lot of playing into his life before dying tragically at the age of 25. This 1955 recording features Brown on trumpet, Max Roach on drums, Richie Powell on piano, George Morrow on bass and orchestrations by Neil Hefti.
